The 2. World war
(1 September 1939 - 8 May 1945)

"it does not concern to fight for Danzig or for Poland. We fight to save around the whole world from the plague of Nazi tyranny."

(Sir Winston Churchill - former British prime minister - 30.11.1874 to 24.1.1965)

On 8 May 1945 Germany unconditionally capitulates before the allied ones: France, Great Britain, the USA and Soviet Union (today again Russia). With it ended the 2. World war in Europe.
After  several partial surrenders representatives of the German armed forces arrived on 7 May 1945 in allied headquarters in Reims (France). There signed colonel general Alfred Jodl (of the army), general admiral Hans-Georg von Friedeburg (of the navy) and general William Oxenius (of the Air Force) the German total surrender. All fighting is to be stopped on 8 May.

The guidance of the Red Army (Soviet Union) insists however on a repetition of the signing ceremony, since it saw itself representing in Reims not sufficiently.
On 9 May 1945 general field marshal Wilhelm Keitel affirmed the German defeat in Berlin Karl refuge and signed a further surrender document.
When the allied ones over broadcast announced the victory, rejoicing broke out in many cities of the world. Humans ran on the roads and celebrated together the end of war.
The population did not stand for anything before that. The war had devastated most cities. Many humans had to live in cellars. The economy, the trade and traffic had to be developed in the coming years laboriously again.
The war in Europe demanded from 1939 to 1945 approximately 36 million human life. There was world-wide approximately 55.3 million.

Norway 10.000
Denmark 1.400
Total Europe approx.. 36 million
Totalworld-wide approx.. 55 million
But how it was added that so many humans had to die?

With the assault of German troops on Poland on 1 September 1939 Adolf Hitler releases the Second World War. It justified its military procedure with the fact that allegedly Poland would have attacked the transmitter Gleiwitz. That was only pretended of Hitler. He said: "Poland shot now tonight for the first time on our territory also by regular soldiers. Since 5,45 o'clock now one shoots back. And from now on bomb is repaid with bomb."
Great Britain and France would fulfill their alliance obligation opposite Poland and opposed the German aggressors on 3 September 1939.
Australia and New Zealand occurred Egypt and Iraq the war and broke off their diplomatic relations with Germany.
Poland had not been up to to the attack and and capitulates on 27./28. September.

How did it continue?

The German Reich led with its allied Italy and Japan conquest campaigns against many states. Their military main opponents were at the beginning of France, Great Britain and China as well as after the break of the Hitler valley in pact (agreement between Germany and the Soviet Union) the Soviet Union and after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor also the USA. The theaters were in Asia, the Pacific, in Europe and in North Africa.

Since the Second World War was led to a large extent from Germany for ideological reasons, numerous war crimes in its process, which were directed against Jews, Sinti and Roma, east Europeans, Homosexuelle, Koerper- and Geisteskranke and Kommunisten, occurred. They were called of Hitler "Untermen" and "vermin". Very many of them were kidnapped in concentration camps and killed there. Thus developed in Poland with the KZ Auschwitz Birkenau the largest concentration camp of that time, the concentration camps in Germany played against it only a subordinated role. Also in the conquered states all Jews were seized and deportiert in concentration camps. In particular in Eastern Europe murdered special of the security agency (SD) and the state police created groups of employments systematically all Jews, Sinti and Roma as well as communist functionaries. To 1945 fell about 6 million humans, mostly Jew, in addition, Sinti and Roma, as well as spirit patient, the National Socialist race illusion to the victim.

In addition, England became by bomb attacks on the civilian population the scene of German war crimes.

Japan proceeded in particular against China with large brutality. It came to war crimes of Japanese soldiers into China (massacre of nanking as well as cruel medical experiments at prisoners). According to Chinese data Chinese civilians are to have been killed between 5 and 10 million. Bombardment Shanghais 1937 sets the prelude of the Japanese conquest campaign by Southeast Asia. It cost until 1945 altogether about 20 million humans the life. The unit 731 accomplished cruel experiments at prisoners in camps. There is Japanese people attempts with biological pathogens at Chinese admits become.

After the end of the Second World War the German war crimes in the Nuernberger processes (20 November 1945) were negotiated. Numerous persons from the National Socialist guidance, physicians, lawyers and prominent persons from the economy and the supreme command of the armed forces were condemned. Also Japanese main war criminals were sentenced.

And today?

Unfortunately there is also today still trailer of Hitler's ideologies (right-wing extremists and neo-Nazis). Gladly they would turn back the wheel of history. The new Nazis want to instigate humans again against each other! They demonstrate for a "reinrassiges" Germany! All, which do not have "German" blood in the veins, want to drive it out from this country!
